What is COACH Learning?
It is much more than just "tutoring". COACH learning occurs by teaching today, in a way that will benefit the learner for a lifetime. The focus is not just on acquiring skills, but on acquiring attributes that empower and inspire students to be "life-long learners". COACH stands for Confidence, Optimism, Ability, Courage and Hope. We believe these attributes are the FOUNDATION for successful academic progress.
There is a saying: "if you can read you can go anywhere". The Learning Coach bases confidence building curriculum around that premise.
In other words, strong literacy builds the foundation of the Confident Learner. The confident learner becomes Optimistic about his or her Abilities and therefore has the Courage to take on new challenges. The more challenges that are overcome, the more confident the learner becomes, and the cycle of life-long learning begins...Hope for a brighter future!
